With no long waits on the sideline, no excessive focus on winning, and no coaches yelling where to go or what to do, our league offers the perfect opportunity for kids to learn how to compete in a fun, low-stakes environment! With only 3-5 players per team, each kid will get several opportunities to pass, shoot, and rebound.

Afterall, FUN is a leading motivator for kids to learn. PNW 3-on-3 gives the game back to the kids so they can discover their love for the game.

WHO

Boys and girls, 1st-8th grade (ages 7-14 years)

HIGHLIGHTS

Guaranteed playing time, play with friends, FUN environment with music, low stakes (no playoffs), learn the game at a faster pace, low time/travel commitment, no need to find a coach (we provide court monitors to help teach and ref the game).

WHAT

2-20 minute half court games with running clock. We run either 4 or 5 week leagues (8 or 10 games guaranteed).

Our spring 2024 will be played at Edmonds College, Seaview Gymnasium

Our vision is to bring 3-on-3 basketball to the PNW to provide more learning and playing opportunities for our youth. We believe 3-on-3 basketball helps athletes reach their full potential without a huge time, travel, and financial commitment. 

We aim to inspire more youth to play for fun, connect with their community, and to grow the game of basketball.

Hi there, we're the Gray family! Basketball is in our blood. Kadee played college basketball in the PNW and has worked with both college and prep athletes intermittently for the past 15 years in various roles as an assistant coach and mentor on, and off, the court. Kyle has served as a head collegiate coach for 18 years and is currently leading the men’s team at Edmonds College. 

We have four boys ranging in age from 9 years to 2 years. As our two oldest began their sports journey, we quickly saw that our area was lacking in rec options and opportunities for our youth. Most of this is due to lack of court space, difficulty finding coaches, and more demand than supply. While we are thankful for experiences with 5v5 (and will continue to pursue those), we quickly found that a team of 13 kids who just want to play, isn't the ideal situation for one season. 

And so, our journey and research began with starting a 3-on-3 league in the area. We are lucky to have the support and buy-in from our local rec centers (Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood) as they too, see the need for an additional option and style of rec basketball for our community's kids. Fall 2023 we will launch our first league for our communities. 

ABOUT US

coaching staff / court monitors

We are partnering with the Edmonds College Men's Basketball Team (Go Tritons!) to connect the youth community with our collegiate athlete community. 

Our court monitors/coaches will help teach the game to the younger kids through pre-league skills sessions and help them understand the rules of the game during competition. 

*In the event there is a schedule conflict with the Triton's schedule during league play and if this is the case, we will hire out for other trusted officials in the area.*

We strive to inspire youth, connect the community, and grow the game of basketball in the PNW by offering the best recreational basketball experience this area has to offer. 

PNW 3-on-3 basketball leagues are for the players. We believe kids need to enjoy their activity to want to keep at it and improve. Our key focus in this league FUN!

PNW 3-on-3 basketball is an opportunity for youth to develop basketball skills and learn how to be a competitor in a fun, non-coached, low-stress environment. We encourage healthy competition in which kids play hard and play to win, but not at the expense of burn out or poor sportsmanship.
